Medaille d'Or is a cider apple with a very sweet juice that has a strong but not unpleasant, astringent aftertaste. Its fruit is borne in clusters and has a golden yellow skin covered by a brown marbled russeting and its flesh is tender and yellowish.

Originated in France in the 1800's and introduced into England in 1884 by the Woolhope Naturalists’ Field Club because of its exceptional cider qualities.

Ripens late season, depending on location. Self-Sterile.
