Easter pear is an old-time heirloom pear. It is known for its excellent keeping qualities. It is a large yellow pear with a red cheek.

Beurre Easter originated in Europe and has been in the US for a long time. It probably recived its name due to its excellent keeping qualities as its has been known to keep until Easter.

Grandpa doesn't know a lot about Easter as it is a "new" one to this old timer, but maintain, prune and spray it like other pears. Maintain proper vigor to reduce the chance of fire blight.
