The Harogem apricot has small to medium, glossy orange fruit with a bright red blush. Fruit is very firm with orange, freestone flesh and good testure and flavor. The tree is consistently productive, cold hardy, and resistant to perennial canker and brown rot.
Harogem and other varieties whose name begins with "Har" were developed at the Harrow, Ontario Experiment Station in Canada and developed for the colder northern areas.
