Sundance Apple
Malus domestica 'Sundance'
$40.95
Sundance Apple on Semi-Standard (BUD 118) root - Large 1/2 - 5/8" caliper grade
- Summary
- Hardiness Zone & More
Sundance is a large, greenish apple with a reddish blush. It is slightly tart with crisp white flesh that resists bruising. Ripens in early October ahead of Granny Smith, which it might be a disease resistant replacement for in the garden. It is almost immune to scab, and resists powdery mildew, cedar apple rust and fire blight. The tree is upright and moderately vigorous. The fruit hangs well on the tree and keeps well in storage. It can tend to be biennial bearing because it sets heavily.
Sundance was bred and released at Prudue University which has a long history of breeding disease resistant apples.
