Smeralda Apple (PP 24137) is an earlier ripening alternative to the Granny Smith, especially for those in northern climates. Considered an early fall apple that matures 7 days after Gala and 30 days before Granny Smith. A medium size fruit with smooth, green skin, the flesh is fine textured, crispy, with excellent flavor. Similar in flavor to Granny Smith but more sweet. An easy to manage tree that bears early and annually. It is resistant to scab.
