Shizuka is a sister to Mutsu with a parentage of Golden Delicious and Indo. The large to very large sized apple has yellow skin with a red-orange blush and firm, sweet flesh that is slow to brown once cut. It has a milder flavor than a Mutsu but similar tree vigor. Shizuka requires pollination and is reported to be blister spot resistant. An excellent keeper for up to 5 months in storage.
