Brown's Apple was a favorite English cider apple that produces a clean crisp, bitter-sharp, tangy, fruity cider. The apple is dark red and the flesh often has red stains. It ripens in October, but can be biennial. Scab tolerant and very hardy.
Brown's Apple originated in England in the early 1900s and was widely planted in Europe for cider production.
