Suncrest Peach on Standard (Lovell) root - Extra Large 5/8" up caliper root
- Summary
- Hardiness Zone & More
Suncrest Peach is an excellent choice for western areas. It ripens in mid-season about 10 days before Elberta and a few days before Cresthaven. It has large, round, firm fleshed, freestone fruit. It is sweet and very tasty. Mostly red over a yellow background.
Grandpa was real excited when he first grew Suncrest because its fruit was a real improvement in the mid-season when there were not a lot of red peaches available. It has excellent qualities, except for its susceptibility to bacteria spot!
Suncrest is highly susceptible to bacteria spot, so should not be planted in those locations where it is a regular problem. It is hardy for most eastern peach growing areas.
