Hudson is a good, sweet black sweet cherry that is more crack-resistant than most cherries. It ripens later in the season and hangs well on the tree. It is moderately productive and hardy.
Hudson was selected as a seedling in 1935 and introduced as a variety in 1964 from the NY State Ag Experiment Station in Geneva, NY.
