Bramtot is a bitter cider variety with a very high sugar content. A small, ugly fruit with green skin with dull orange russet, it is not palatable as a fresh eating apple but yields a low acid, high tannin juice from its cream colored firm flesh.

Bramtot is a cider apple that originated from a French seedling in the mid 1800's. Reportedly from the old variety Martin Fessar. Arrived in England in 1884.
