Apple Fritter Rings

Ingredients: 

  • ¼ cup flour*
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 tsp melted butter
  • Apples, peeled and cut into rings
  • ¼ cup warm water
  • White of one egg
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

*Gluten-free flour will work as well.

Directions:
Sift flour and salt. Make a well in center of flour and pour in melted butter and warm water.
Work until smooth and beat well. Allow to stand for at least ½ hour.
Beat egg white until very stiff and fold into batter.
Mix together sugar and cinnamon.
Coat apple slices in sugar-cinnamon mixture.
Dip slices of apple into batter and deep fry until golden brown.
Drain, roll in sugar and serve hot with ice cream.

Serve hot with ice cream
