Grandma's Recipes

Grandma was a wonderful cook and baker and loved to swap recipes!

Grandpa was always a hungry man after working hard in the orchard all day long, and he looked forward to a wonderful supper from Grandma. The treat was always something that Grandma baked from the fruit from Grandpa's Orchard. Grandma loved to bake and she often shared her recipes with the family and friends. She was also always on the look out for something new too, so Grandma often traded recipes with her friends and family. Like Grandpa's fruit varieties, sometimes the story and history that went with the recipe was as interesting as the dish.

Do you have have an original fruit recipe from your family that you would like to share with the Grandpa's Orchard family? If so, email it to us at: Please be sure to include your name and contact information as well as the story and history behind the recipe!

Grandma and Grandpa and the family have always been terrific friends with Dee Schoenmakers, a family friend who lives in Washington state.  Granny Dee is a great cook and we have often swapped recipes with her.  Over the years she had developed a huge Facebook following and posts regularly.  Granny Dee now has now published several cookbooks of her own, such as "Granny's Favorites Cookbook", "Granny's Favorite Canning and Preserving Cookbook", and "Granny's Favorite Cookie Recipes".  We want to help her out by giving you a link to her Facebook page where you can directly order these great cookbooks from Granny Dee:
