Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips

Sweet cherries are attractive to birds, so netting will help keep them off the fruit. Covering the tree with plastic sheeting during rains may help in reducing fruit cracking. Copper sprays during the dormant season will help reduce bacterial cankers on the bark.
