  • Hardiness Zone & More

Jerseycot is a newer introduction that ripens early in the season a couple weeks ahead of Goldcot.  It is freestone and disease resistant.  The fruit is medium, round, pale orange with no blush and has good quality and a distinctive cantelope aroma.  It is reported to be self-fertile.

Jerseycot was introduced from the breeding program at Rutgers University in 1986 and is a complex cross of many other apricot parents.
