Glohaven Peach

Prunus persica 'Glohaven'
  • Summary
  • Hardiness Zone & More

The Glohaven peach is a large, nearly round, uniform peach with very little fuzz. Its skin color is mostly red with a goldn background. The flesh is yellow and is a favorite for canning and freezing because it resists browning. Tree is vigorous, productive and hardy. It ripens right on the heels of Redhaven.

All of the "Haven" peaches were bred in Michigan by the famous Dr. Stanley Johnston, who Grandpa knew and respected. Grandpa said that if it hadn't been for Stanley, he probably never would have raised as many peaches as he did. Grandpa always considered himself a "peach" grower, rather than an "apple" grower.
