- Summary
- Hardiness Zone & More
Kudos® is a brand new apple that is hardy and well colored. It is very crisp, juicy and sweet with a well balanced, somewhat tropical, flavor. It ripens in mid-season, about one week later than Honeycrisp. The fruit is medium sized and will store well. The tree is medium to high vigor and spreading. It is an annual bearer. About as tolerant to scab as Honeycrisp and fire blight has not seemed to have been observed in it. It is a late bloomer like Honeycrisp.
Kudos® was bred by the University of Minnesota where Honeycrisp originated. Its parentage is Honeycrisp X Zestar® (Minnewashta cv). It was released in 2022.
