• »  Zestar!® is a new, very hardy and exciting early apple from Minnesota!

Grandpa's Choice™ Zestar!(R) is a rather new variety that is gaining in excitement. It is an early season apple with excellent, dessert quality. It is very crisp and juicy with an abover average sweet/tart flavor. This apple is 60-85% read on a yellow background. It will store quite well for several weeks after being picked in late August in the midwest.

Zestar® is another introduction from the famous University of Minnesota apple breeding program, which has introduced so many successful extra hardy apple varieties like Honeycrisp™. It has State Fair in its parentage. It is one of the only apples we know with an ! point as part of its name.
