Ladina Apple

Malus domestica 'Ladina'

Ladina is a new introduction from Switzerland that is resistant to scab and has tolerance to fire blight and mildew.  The fruit is pinkish-red.  The flesh is crisp and delicious.

Europe is a hotbed of apple breeding for disease resistance as the industry there is trying to rely less on chemical applications to control disease.
