Pyrus communis 'Taylor's Gold'

Taylor's Gold is a sport or limb mutation of Comice pear.  It has golden yellow skin with some russeting.  The fruit is large, smooth-fleshed and very juicy and tender.  Excellent eating pear.

Taylor's Gold was discovered as a limb sport on a Comice tree on the property of Michael and Weendy King-Turner in New Zealand in 1985.  It was introduced into North America around 2000.
