Corona tools are economical, but good choices, for the backyard orchardist.  Corona Max Forged Aluminum Handled pruners are comfortable to use and the blads can be replaced.  Both cut up to 1 inch branches.

Fruit trees should be pruned every year. Good tools help make the job much easier. Grandpa has used many brands of hand pruners, long handled pruners or loppers, and saws. But he realizes that as a home orchardist, the price of tools is quite a factor.

Grandpa prefers bypass pruners which have a faster, cleaner cutting action. Blade and anvil cutters just will not cut as well or easily as bypass shears so we do not recommend them.

We also stock parts, if needed, for most of the above. Just email us and we can see if we can help you. However, under normal backyard orchardist use, you may never wear a pair out.
