Niedwetzkyana Redvein Crab is a unique red-flesh variety which actually has medium to large size fruit.  the skin is a deep bright red and the flesh is red throughout.  It has a tart flavor but gets somewhat sweeter as it ripens.  The juice will carry on the red color.  The tree is very vigorous and not known for any particular disease resistances.  Ripens in mid-season and late September in Michigan.
