Whitney is a good quality edible crabapple that is fine for jelly or pickling. Medium size crabapples with red stripes over a yellow background. It picks late in August to early September. Very hardy.

When Grandpa was a kid he and his friends used to have crabapple fights! Grandma never let the grandkids fight with the Whitney's though, because they were destined for our favorite apple jelly.
