Harrow Crisp Pear
Pyrus communis 'Harrow Crisp'
Harrow Crisp is a very attractive fruit with a red blush over a very smooth yellow skin. Its flesh is grit-free and slightly firm with a mildly sweet flavor. It is slightly larger in size than a Bartlett, which it harvests with in August/September.
Harrow Crisp was selected in 1982 at the Agriculture Canada Research Station in Harrow, Ontario, where many good peaches were also bred and introduced.
