Chestnut Edible Crab
Malus z 'Chestnut Crab'
Chestnut is a large, russeted, sweet and juicy edible crabapple with a rich, nutty like flavor that can be used for eating, sauce, preserves, and decorative purposes. It ripens late summer, early September.
Chestnut Crabapple was bred and introduced from the University of Minnesota in 1949, so it is very hardy and excellent for colder climes.
