Morden 604 appears to be one of the hardier apricots for colder areas. The fruit is large, with thick orange flesh and good flavor. Suitable for most uses. The tree is very hardy, vigorous, and spreading, ripening late in the season. It is reported to be self-fertile.
Morden 604 was introduced in 1946 from a Canadian breeding program in Manitoba.
