Michelin is an old English cider variety that has been found to be great for cider blending. It has a bittersweet flavor. The fruits are medium sized, round and yellowish. The tree is an upright, somewhat spurry grower. It is a heavy, reliable cropper that ripens in mid-late season, mid-October. It blooms in mid-season.
Michelin is named after its discoverer who was a well noted cider apple grower. Introduced into England around 1884.
