Red Bartlett Pear
Pyrus communis 'Red Bartlett'
Sensation Red Bartlett is a highly red colored strain of Bartlett pear that has all the same qualities as its parent. It is redder and more attractive though. Ripens along with regular green Bartlett.
Sensation Red Bartlett originated in Australia about 1940 and came to the US in 1959. In Australia it was known as Mock's William, since it was named after Mr. Mock who discovered the mutation.
Treat Sensation Red Bartlett like the ordinary strain, however, you will find that it may be a little less vigorous grower and the leaves will have a little more red color to them.
