Harcot Apricot

Prunus armeniaca 'Harcot'

Grandpa's Choice™ Harcot apricot is a vigorous, productive, self-fertile tree that is cold hardy and has a good resistance to perennial canker, bacterial spot and brown rot. It is an early ripener with medium to large, oblong, orange fruit with a slight red blush and a very good, sweet flavor. Ripens a few days before Goldcot.

Harcot and other varieties whose name begins with "Har" were developed at the Harrow, Ontario Experiment Station in Canada and developed for the colder northern areas.
