Surefire™ Tart Cherry

Prunus cerasus 'Surefire™'

Surefire™ Tart Cherry is relatively new to the industry. It is a late blooming tart cherry with resistance to spring frosts. The fruit is bright red, medium in size, and very tart. The trees are vigorous and productive.

A recent introduction from the New York State Agriculture Experiment Station, and was bred with the intent to replace Montmorency in areas that often suffered damaging frosts to Montmorency.
