CrimsonCrisp™ is a new disease resistant apple variety that should go along well with other Grandpa's Nature Friendly™ varieties. The medium sized fruit is an attractive crimson red and the flesh is very crisp and firm with a tart but complex flavor. The fruit matures in the mid-season of fall.

Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips CrimsonCrisp™ is highly resistant to apple scab which is the main fungal problem of apple production. It is moderately resistant to cedar apple rust, and somewhat resistant to powdery mildew and fire blight. It is a late bloomer, with a spreading, grower friendly habit. Easy to grow!

A Little History CrimsonCrisp™ was bred and introduced by Purdue University in Indiana, where many of our finest disease resistant apple varieties came from. Their Co-op™ series of disease resistant apple varieties are the most famous. CrimsonCrisp™ is also known as Co-op 39.
