Many states west of the Mississippi and some in the south restrict shipping of some kinds of nursery stock for various reasons which are too complex to list here. Grandpa’s Orchard tries to comply with all shipping restrictions, and so may not be able to ship everything that you may want to order. We try to indicate by the various types of fruit, what can and cannot be shipped to certain states.
In general though:
Blueberry--- Will not ship ANY to AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, ID, KS, LA, MS, MT, ND, NE, OK, OR, SD, TX, UT, WA, WY. Typically due to Japanese Beetle protocols and certain virus concerns.
Stonefruit (Cherry, Peach, Nectarine, Plum, Prune, Apricot)--- Will not ship ANY to CA, HI. May restrict shipping some varieties to: CO, ID, OR, WA. Typically due to virus concerns. Most of Grandpa’s stock is grown and certified as virus free by our sources, so may possibly be shipped to some areas.
Apple & Pear--- For the most part, we can ship apple and pear to almost all states.
Special Restrictions--- Hawaii, Canada or out of the USA--- NO nursery stock shipped of any kind. Hawaii restricts all imports of nursery stock. It is not feasible for Grandpa’s Orchard to comply with the “paperwork” and other phytosanitary documentations required to ship to Canada or out of the USA.
Alaska--- contact us before you order so that we can discuss alternate shipping methods. No Blueberry will be shipped. UPS is likely too expensive, but we may be able to ship via US Postal Service.
