Credit Card Charges & Payment Policy

We do not charge your credit card until shortly before shipping your order.

Grandpa knew the value of a dollar, and we appreciate how hard you have to work to get one.

We do not charge your card until shortly before we actually ship your order. When you check out on Grandpa's Orchard, we get an authorization from your credit card company to make the charge, but we wait until a week or so before actual shipping to make the actual charge. So, when you place an order online at Grandpa's Orchard, you likely will not see the charge on your credit card statement until you actually receive your trees. Grandpa never felt comfortable taking someones money until he was ready to deliver the product.

Sometimes this policy does cause some troubles. Once in a while a customer will change credit card companies or their card may expire before we actually ship their trees. If you close out your credit card or we are unable to charge it for some reason, we will hold your shipment until we can get a new credit card number or other payment arrangements can be made. If you remember that you have an unpaid order at Grandpa's Orchard on a closed credit card or an expired credit card, please contact us. We can change your credit card information and make sure that there is no delay in shipping your order.

Should you happen to want to pay by check or money order for your plants and trees, please contract us. If we have a credit card authorization on file, we can accept a cash payment on not make any charges to your card if you prefer. Don't worry, you will not be paying twice for any order. However, we will deposit checks and money orders immediately so that they clear the banking system before we ship your order.
